Job Description
Key Responsibilities * Prepare the OT before scheduled surgeries and procedures. * Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, consumables and emergency supplies are available and ready. * Assist surgeons, anaesthetists and nursing staff during surgical procedures. * Handle, arrange and maintain surgical instruments as per OT protocols. * Assist with cleaning, disinfection, sterilisation and proper storage of instruments. * Check the functionality and readiness of OT equipment before procedures. * Maintain OT cleanliness and infection-control standards. * Assist in shifting and positioning patients safely before and after procedures. * Support specimen handling and transfer according to hospital protocols. * Maintain OT registers, checklists, equipment records and other required documentation. * Ensure proper segregation and disposal of biomedical waste. Required Skills * Good knowledge of OT. * Ability to operate and handle medical equipment safely. * Ability to work effectively during emergencies. * Ability to remain calm under pressure. * Willingness to work in shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.Location
