Job Description
Responsibilities • Oversee the daily operations of the Central Sterile Services Department (CSSD) ensuring efficient and timely processing of sterile instruments. • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards related to sterilization and infection control. • Monitor and maintain inventory levels of sterilization supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper functioning. • Coordinate with surgical and nursing teams to meet their sterilization needs effectively. • Implement and monitor quality assurance programs to ensure high standards of service delivery. • Provide training and guidance to CSSD staff on sterilization techniques and safety protocols. • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure adherence to safety and hygiene standards. • Collaborate with the hospital management to develop and update protocols and standards for sterilization processes. • Handle emergency requests for sterile instruments and supplies efficiently. • Maintain accurate records and documentation of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance.Location
