Job Description
Supervision and Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), and Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). Assign duties, monitor performance, and provide feedback to ensure high standards of care. Ø Staffing and Scheduling: Coordinate nursing schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts. Address staffing shortages and arrange for appropriate staffing adjustments as needed. Collaborate with HR to recruit, interview, and hire nursing staff. Ø Patient Care Coordination: Oversee the delivery of patient care services, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Ensure that patient care plans are followed and that patients receive appropriate treatment and support. Ø Quality Assurance: Monitor nursing practices and protocols to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, standards, and policies. Conduct regular audits and quality assessments to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary. Ø Education and Training: Provide ongoing education and training to nursing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Keep staff updated on changes in healthcare practices, policies, and procedures. Ø Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and social workers, to coordinate patient care and promote interdisciplinary teamwork. Ø Problem Resolution: Address concerns and complaints from patients, families, and staff members. Resolve conflicts and issues in a timely and professional manner. Ø Emergency Response: Serve as a point of contact during emergencies or crises, coordinating the response of nursing staff and ensuring that appropriate protocols are followed to maintain patient safety.Location
