Job Description
The City Head — Hyderabad is a business-founder role. You will own the full P&L for Hyderabad, architect the go-to-market strategy, build and lead a high-performance team, and be the face of the organisation's category-building mission in the city. This is not a sales management role — it is a general management role with the remit to shape how cardiac rhythm intelligence gets adopted across hospitals, cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and diagnostic networks in Hyderabad. Key Responsibilities 1. Revenue Growth & Business Development ▸ Own revenue targets for Hyderabad across all product lines — ambulatory monitoring, CRI platform subscriptions, and clinical services. ▸ Drive new account acquisition across hospitals, cardiology departments, EP labs, and diagnostic chains; develop a pipeline management discipline with clear conversion metrics. ▸ Design and execute city-level GTM playbooks — account mapping, HCP engagement, institutional tie-ups, and channel partnerships. ▸ Identify and unlock high-value revenue levers: hospital protocols, corporate wellness, insurance partnerships, and tele-cardiology integrations. ▸ Track, forecast, and report revenue performance weekly; model scenario-based growth plans in alignment with national targets. 2. P&L Ownership & Financial Management ▸ Own the Hyderabad P&L end-to-end — revenue, cost of delivery, operational expenses, and contribution margin. ▸ Build annual operating plans and quarterly budgets; manage actuals vs. plan with rigour and transparency. ▸ Drive profitability through unit economics discipline: monitor cost per case, revenue per account, and payback periods on acquisition spend. ▸ Identify and eliminate cost inefficiencies without compromising clinical quality or service experience. ▸ Report financial performance to CBO/leadership with insight-driven commentary, not just numbers. 3. Category Building — Cardiac Rhythm Intelligence ▸ Serve as the primary category evangelist for cardiac rhythm intelligence (CRI) in Hyderabad — among cardiologists, hospital administrations, and patient communities. ▸ Drive physician education and awareness programs around arrhythmia under-diagnosis, the role of AI-assisted monitoring, and clinical outcomes enabled by CRI. ▸ Build the organisation's brand equity in Hyderabad through CMEs, EP meets, clinical roundtables, and key opinion leader (KOL) engagement. ▸ Establish Hyderabad as a reference city for CRI adoption — creating case studies, clinical outcomes data, and institutional endorsements that support national and investor narratives. ▸ Work closely with the clinical and product teams to translate market feedback into platform evolution. 4. Team Building & People Leadership ▸ Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performance Hyderabad team across sales, clinical coordination, operations, and customer success functions. ▸ Set clear KPIs and performance expectations; conduct regular reviews and coaching conversations. ▸ Create a culture of accountability, clinical empathy, and growth orientation — consistent with Organisation's mission-driven DNA. ▸ Build bench strength: identify and develop successors and specialist leads within the city team. ▸ Act as the connective tissue between the city team and national functions (product, clinical, finance, marketing). 5. Operations & Service Excellence ▸ Ensure flawless service delivery across all active accounts — device logistics, turnaround times, report quality, and clinical support. ▸ Establish city-level SOPs for onboarding, monitoring workflows, escalations, and renewals. ▸ Own NPS and retention metrics; build structured feedback loops with clinical partners to continuously improve service experience. ▸ Ensure regulatory and compliance adherence for all city operations. What Success Looks Like (Year 1) Revenue - Achieve or exceed Hyderabad annual revenue target; consistent MoM growth trajectory Accounts - Establish active relationships with leading cardiac hospitals and EP labs in Hyderabad P&L - Deliver positive contribution margin by Q3; meet opex efficiency targets Category - Conduct physician education events; establish 2–3 reference KOLs Team - Full city team in place by Q2; attrition below benchmark NPS - Net Promoter Score from clinical partners consistently above 60 Ideal Candidate Profile Experience & Background ▸ 12–18 years of total experience; at least 5 years in a city/regional P&L leadership role in healthcare, healthtech, medtech, diagnostics, or pharma. ▸ Proven track record of building revenue from early-stage or expansion-stage business units — not just managing mature accounts. ▸ Prior exposure to cardiac, rhythm management, diagnostics, or clinical SaaS strongly preferred. ▸ Experience hiring and leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Leadership & General Management ▸ Genuine owner mindset — treats the P&L as their own business, not a cost centre. ▸ Comfortable with ambiguity; can build structure and process from scratch while executing simultaneously. ▸ Strong commercial instincts balanced with clinical sensitivity and respect for the healthcare context. ▸ Track record of coaching teams to performance, not just directing them. Category & Market Building ▸ Experience or strong intuition for category creation — educating a market that may not yet know it has a problem is different from selling into an established need. ▸ Ability to engage credibly with cardiologists, electrophysiologists, hospital managements, and clinical decision-makers. ▸ Comfortable being the face of the organisation externally — at conferences, CMEs, and institutional conversations. Analytical & Operational ▸ Strong financial acumen — can read, build, and defend a P&L; comfortable with unit economics modelling. ▸ Data-driven decision-maker; uses metrics to manage performance, not just report it. ▸ Operationally sharp — understands delivery logistics, turnaround time management, and service SLAs.Location
